Death by 10 Meters

With a midweek hockey game, my WoDs are out of rhythm. On the 28th, with a 9:00 hockey game, I did 3x3 of OHS and 21-15-9. I didn't get the 170+ I wanted, but it was a little hard to focus with the kids in the garage, so I think I could get it if I was more focused. I did get 95lbs on the protocol.

Tonight I did death by 10 meters. I wasn't sure what to expect, but my quads died first. I used 25lb dumbells as my markers and did it shuttle run style. 10 meters is only 33 feet, so it didnt seem hard. Oops. I wanted 20 rounds when I started, but adjusted to 15 when I got to round 10. I made it all of the way to 14 rounds and 13 reps when the timer went off. So close to 15. I have no idea what is a good time, but I think this is okay. It was the crouch down and back up at each end that taxed my legs the most. 10 meters isn't that much distance to get up much speed. It is more about quick direction changes and keeping your legs churning. Good practice for Hockey.

She is getting disappointed that she isn't seeing faster progress with weight, but we talked and we are going to stay consistent and intense for another month or2 and see what happens. She hit this one really hard. She is also getting close to a kip pullup.
