I had a sub par experience on Tabatta Something Else, and now I know why: I was sick but hadn't admitted it yet. Yesterday should ahve been a lunge and sit-up wod, but Aubri talked me into staying home instead and resting. Man did that help. I woke up this morning feeling 95% and ready for some work. I know that rest is key and that I need to listen to my body, but sometimes it is hard to force myself to rest and recouperate.
I also gained some knowledge today on some other exercises. Being a main site rest day, I worked on skill work. I worked on muscle ups with the rings at a higher setting and got 4 consecutive without problem. Just lost the false grip without tape. I then worked on split jerk and got some kickin cues from peter and got much more comfortable and solid with the movement. I really started to feel the groove with the movement and think it will carry over to the push jerk when the time comes.
I finished with 4 legless rope climbs and had little to no trouble with them after about 60 seconds rest each. Today was about skill work, and progress was made. Tonight I will try for a couplet of situps and HSPU to work on 2 areas of weakness. I'm thinking 5 hspu and 30 situps for 5 rounds. That means 25 hspu and 150 situps. the numbers may change, but I want to start doing these unbroken.
