I asked Aubri, again, "are you having fun during some of the workouts?" With a reluctant smile, she said 'yes.' She is really starting to get into the movements and makingprogress. Her kip is still slow in coming, but she is working hard at it. In no time she will have consecutive pullups. She even did fran yesterday and did an awesome job. She did 57 pounds and jumping pullups in 6:48. Her last attempt was with only the 37 lb bar and jumping pullups in 12 domething. She is making great progress in body composition and in each repeated workout.
Today I planned on doing an unevenly loaded bar for Elizabeth. When I mentioned it to Peter, he said I should try to get my time in the 6 minute range first, then play with it. He seemed to think that was a more solid time and I should manage that before I get fancy. My previous PR was 8:02, so 6 minutes was a tall order. I KILLED IT! I got 6:42. I curised through the 21 round (even unbroken ring dips) but struggled with the 15 cleans. I had to break it up way too much. I should have strung more together and I could have gotten closer to 5 minutes. Regardless, I just kept pushing and never took longer than a 3 second rest (okay, maybe once or twice I paused too long). I was thrilled with my performance. I didn't think I had that in me today. I am still pleasantly surprised with what I am accomplishing with each of these WoDs.
Tomorrow is a rest day on HQ. I'll do OPT's Unbroken workout for work on wall balls and a list of other weaknesses.
