Training Day

In an attempt to get better at running, and train for multi-wod days of competition, I took on a lot on Saturday.

5K race around the new goodyear spring training stadium. It was actually 2.96 miles, but I did it in 19:59. If it were the extra 200m or so, I still would have been sub 21. I was stoked about that.

2K row 7:10. I ran out of posterior chain by the end, but i know I have a sub 7 in me if I were a little more fresh and now that I have my form back.

Airforce WoD
20 thrusters
20 SDHP
20 PJ
20 OHS
20 FS - all at 95 lbs.
Start every minutes with 4 burpees until done
8:44.

I sailed through the first three exercises in the first 2:30, but the OHS killed me. I took 3 minutes just to finish those. i couldn't get lock out to stay and actually dropped tha bar on my back 3x as I came up out of the bottom. I should have sowed down a tad, but I recovered and still got a reasonable time. I need to do Nancy to get high rep OHS work.

Monday is filthy fifty (less than 10 hours after playing hockey).
