I came full circle today.  Back in august I went looking for some anaerobic conditioning program to get in better hockey shape.  I found Crossfit.  The WoD was Barbara, 5 rounds for time of 20 pullups, 30 pushups, 40 situps, 50 squats, with exactly 3 minutes of rest between rounds.  The first time, I missed the rest between rounds, then only made it through 3 rounds before gassing completely.  Today, I put up a much better time. 
4:01, 4:04, 4:37, 5:12, 5:13= 23:07.  My fitness has improved significantly, and I have really enjoyed the process.  I also made significant strength gains.  My CFT is now at 875.  The last time it was in the mid 700's (can't find my record).  I still have a long way to go (read: muscle ups, HSPU, sit ups) but I am really glad I found this system.
