The Wod for Saturday was the clean and jerk ladder: 135 pounds.  One clean the first minute, 2 the second minute, three the third, and so on.  I made it 6 minutes.  I was tired from working as i went to the gym, and wasn't feeling "it."  I finished the sixth minute with ~10 seconds left, but didn't have the mojo to start the seventh.  So I rested for 60 seconds and tried seven again.  I got through four when my quads nearly caught fire from the lactic burn.  I am realizing the value of rest days, and this should have been one. 
I am going to give the zone diet a try.  I will work on establishing a couple of routine meals for myself over the next 1-2 weeks, then try to replace that routine with my current one.  it shouldn't be too hard, just have to get into it.  We shall see if it is worth the work.  I have been seeing good improvements without it, so it may be hard to identify the gains due specifically to the zone.  Time will tell.
