We had plans for going to a spinning class at 5:45 and i was going to work on the clean and jerk afterward. That was, until the we realized that the child watch closed at 6:00. It was 5:35 when we realized that. I was a little frustrated, but knew that Crossfit allowed me plenty of opportunities to get in a great workout. I did "Griff".
Run
800m forward - 2:55
400m backward - 2:36
800m forward - 3:39
400m backward - 2:42
11:54
I knew this would be hard, but the lactic acid burn was intense. I refused to stop at any time, but I had no idea what that second 800 would feel like. The last 400 was tough, but my time on the second 800 was more of a shock. I thought turning around would be a return to a faster pace. Wrong! It was just a return to pain. But, next time I know how to push even harder and what to expect. I love that I can easily find (or make) a completely new workout whether I am at the gym, or on my own. Unfortunately, tomorrow is a run. Never rails, whenever I go off script, I pick what coach puts on for the next day. I guess its back to functional fatigue.
