Well, I asked for it. I knew I needed to work on my pull ups, and I got it.
3 rounds for time (Ha! maybe with a calendar)
21 L pullups
3 'L' rope ascents
My workout looked more like
3 rounds, not for time, but to try to preserve dignity
21 L/n pull ups (as keeping the true L form was really challenging toward the end)
30 standard rope pulls with tricep rope from cable pull machine.
26:00 (maybe give or take 10 seconds as I forgot to stop my watch at the end).
I thought the tricep rope would work well, but the big knobs let me get away with less grip work on the rope. Darn.
I wasn't really trying to crank through this one as much as plod consistently along. I broke up things heavily. First round of L pulls were in 3 sets, then 7 sets of 3 for rounds 2 and 3. The rope ascents were done in 6 sets of 5. As I type, my abs are starting to cramp up a bit, but a day on the floor with kids should fix that, right? I should be getting my pull up bar installed this weekend (if I can figure out the height problem) so maybe I'll try nicole to officially get my kp back in place. We'll see what my lats think about that.
