For the first time since I started at fury and failed at Diane, I had to scale a WoD. I wasn't too upset, but it is still a bit frustrating.
First, 6x3 power cleans = 230. I got 2 reps of 235 twice, but couldn't stay fast on the third rep of either set.
Then
50 ring dips
run 400m
50 pushups
run 400m
50 HSPU
run 400m
28:??
I can't remember the exact time, but it was way too long. I felt great through the dips (even doing a muscle up for each of the sets on the high rings) and my runs were good. My pushups were a tad slow, but I was trying to save a bit for the HSPU. Then time stood still. I wanted to 5 rep sets for as long as possible. My first set was 2. I went with 2's for a while, then singles to avoid failed and wasted effort. at 25 reps, I switched to SP at 115 for the remaining 25 reps. I have gotten a ton better at HSPU since starting at fury, but it is still something I need to work on regularly. I should have gotten a bit farther before muscle fatigue hit me. 50 is a lot, but I should have gotten through 10 or 15 with relative ease. In any case, this keeps one humble and focused on weaknesses. Guess I need to stick with 2-3x/week practicing hspu at home. Maybe some wall walk work too.
