My New Favorite Exercise!!!

So, I am a little behind and mixed up on the WOD's. Thursday I did Overhead Squats, which I was not to sure about. OHS are FUN!! Very challenging but fun. The premise is to hold the bar over your head and push up on the bar as you do a squat. My shoulder did fine. The only problem I had was when I went up in weight I felt uncertain what I would do if I needed to dump the weight. There are no bumper plates in the Globo gyms and I do not think they would like me dropping there weights on the floor.
Overhead squat 3-3-3-3-3 reps
75-85-95-105-115(f)
The weight seems relatively low, but the exercise itself is very demanding overall. I failed the last set because I was at the point were if I had to dump I would be afraid and I did not want to hurt myself. Next time I will use the cage with the stopper rods and set them really high. That way I could more or less set the weights on the bars instead of being afraid to drop them on the floor.

Friday
For time:
155 pound Power clean 15 reps
30 Ring dips
155 pound Power clean 12 reps
24 Ring dips
155 pound Power clean 9 reps
18 Ring dips
155 pound Power clean 6 reps
12 Ring dips
155 pound Power clean 3 reps
6 Ring dips
I had to substitute 135# because I am still not strong enough to throw around that heavy of weight. The more I do power cleans the more I like them and I realize the benefit of them. I feel I have good coordination to perform the exercise, however, it becomes harder with heavier weight. My time was 27:57. I was bound and determined to not go any lighter than 135 and I DID NOT!! I was excited but it took a long time. I am beginning to figure more things out about my shoulder the more i go through the WODs. Too long to get into it. Also I need to have better mental focus with the WODs. I need to learn how to live in the pain for however long it takes to get through the workout. I feel this is one of my biggest weaknesses.

P.S. 20# Medicine Ball is on the way
