DL possibility

I went to the surgeon who did my shoulder surgery to have him look at my right knee. He states I have some roughness under the kneecap, which they could polish down. He also mentioned that I have a small meniscal tear on the left back of my right knee. He says it does not need to be fixed right away, however, he said I should do it sonner than later. So, I am in the process of figuring how much it will cost me out-of-pocket to have the surgery. 20min procedure, 1month full recovery with back to heavy weights, sometime in the next few months.

Anyway, Yesterday 02/23/09
Front squat 3-3-3-3-3 reps
3rep max for front squats ended up to be 160. I had never done this exercise for max reps so I was well pleased with the weight. I picked it well because the last rep of the last set I almost got stuck in the middle on the way up, took about a good 3 secs to get from the middle position to the finish position.

Today 02/24/09
For time:
Row 500 meters
115 pound Push press, 21 reps
Row 500 meters
115 pound Push press, 18 reps
Row 500 meters
115 pound Push press, 15 reps
Row 500 meters
115 pound Push press, 12 reps

27:50 I hate thinking that a WOD is going to go by fast and then it takes forever. The rowing is getting better I think I have good form and it feels good. The Push-Press is what got me. I did not scale as I need the heavy weight to get stronger, it is my right shoulder. Towards the last two Push-Press rounds I could feel my right upper trap not contracting as well as my left and I had to consciously think about using my upper trapezius to support the weight overhead. I tried not to think much about it as I know that is a weakness but it always gets to me. Tomorrow will be interesting with the Push-Jerk. Come on right upper trapezius.

Side note I currently weigh 144, I have gained 5 pounds since starting CrossFit
