slowly but surely

Yesterday's WoD - Mary

5 HSPU

10 single leg squats (alternating)

15 pull ups

AMRAP in 20 minutes

8 rounds.

I knew the HSPU would be my vice on this one, but I didn't do too bad. And every time I do them, I get a little better. Now, I just need to work on sticking the forward hand stand to be faster and more Rx. I did scale down 3 separate rounds to 4 HSPU during the Wod, but I managed to get an extra 3 HSPU before the clock ran out, so I am rounding it to an even 8 rounds.

Today, deadlift 1-1-1-1-1-1-1.

I should have looked at my log first. I got my PR wrong, and was shooting for the wrong number. I hit 365, and failed at 375. 375 was my previous 1RM. Had I been shooting for that (instead of 365) I would have started higher than 315 and I would have gone in with a different mind set. Regardless, it was a good heavy day and I always like that. I worked on muscle ups with the new scaling I read about in the journal (using toe assist as you rise from knees. It felt a little better, but I still need to work on false grip strength and not losing it at the bottom.
