constant improvements

I saw Barbara and was a bit disappointed. It was only 5 weeks ago that we did this one, and it was not a fun one. Definitely a good work that gets to my weaknesses, but not a favorite. I wasn't too sure I would see any significant changes since it had been so recent, but I was wrong. Last time I completed all rounds in a cumulative total of 23:07. Today, 22:05. That's over one full minute off the total time. I also made the improvement of only one round over the 5 minute mark, and just by 17 seconds. The last time we did this I realized my weakness with sit ups and vowed to fix that. Since then I have upped my sit-up total during warm-up to 20-25 per round (3 rounds) I definitely noticed an improvement, although the clock didn't reflect the improvement as much as I expected. I did the pull ups unbroken except for the last set. I let myself off the hook a little and wasn't psyched up enough going into set #5. I also did pull ups unbroken on #1 and only 1 rest on sets 2 and 3, Sets 4 and 5 needed to rests, but only a 3-5 second rest. Squats made for a good burn, but I only paused for 1-2 seconds 1-2 times per set to regain form or balance.

The fact that I made a 4-5% improvement with this workout in 5 weeks is awesome. While I always end a Wod wishing I had done more, I am pleased with this was a good gain in 5 weeks.
