This one has been a frustration up to this point. After I got muscle ups, I dreaded this one because it always beat me. Torn wrists, bad form, major goat. This time, I was ready.
I started with 3x5 of shoulder press 120, 130, 135. I could not have done 140, and I'm not sure if I can next time, but I will go for it. I still think there is a flaw in my form that keeps me from getting overhead well, just not sure what it is. Then I did 15,12,9 at 95 lbs. This time it looked better, but still not all unbroken. i got 15, (8,4), (5,4). I got all reps in, but not unbroken. Next time, unbroken for sure.
Then 30 mups in 14:39. I tried to stick to one every 10 seconds, but it was too hard to keep checking my time and losing my grip. I started estimating and going as quick as I could with enough rest. I made it through 6 in 1 minute, 4 or 5 in the second, and no misses until 16. I slowed down a ton and took 3 minutes for the last 5 reps. It takes a lot of energy to miss, and that really slowed me down at the end. I definitely see how a little improvement in this can make a major time difference as you can maintain the pace and have fewer misses. I look forward to this one again, but I don't think I will do it after SP. My upperbody is toast.
