Today was 3x3 of DL and Mary.
I got a PR of 370 for a 3RM on DL, but my form was too rounded and I barely got it. Now I need to switch to a 5RM for a couple of weeks. I forgot to do the protocol for 15,12,9. Just a brain fart.
I picked Mary because I need to challenge myself on all 3 elements. Last time I got 8 rounds just barely. This time, I got 5 rounds by the half-way point, then HSPU got real hard. I stuck with prone pushups, and started to lose strength by round 6-ish. Unfortunately, I got a bit distracted and lost count. I think I got to 9 rounds, but maybe only 8, can't be sure. Either way, this was a good workout focusing on challenging elements. I did all pistols on the floor but had to repeat some reps if I had to bail before standing upright. the HSPU felt better, and I feel my shoulders more afterward. I need to keep practicing these, but it is frustrating to not have the kind of progress I would like.
This is a workout Jason is bound to Smoke me on. All body weight movements and HSPU too, I don't stand a chance. I am making progress however, and expect to catch his max pullup number any day now.
