I did the first full round unbroken, bu seriously broke up things from there. I remembered one of the lessons learned form Crossfit Coronado about thrusters. Ben (the trainer) talked about the hip pop in a thruster being like a KB swing. When I broke up the movement into a front squat with a hip pop, my shoulders got a lot less taxed. I had thought the 75 pounds would be easy (since Fran is 95) NOT! I still stink at double unders, but it went a little better than expected on a couple of rounds. I was pretty happy with the 13 minute time (based on the blog times) but I konw that on the next Fran I need to watch my form and work through the pain more than I did today. Although, I needed to preserve a little coordination for double unders and pullups can be done while gasping - just PULL for your dear life.
I'm pretty sure Fran will come up in the next cycle, maybe 2. With all of the thruster work and the altered rep schemes, it seems like they are getting us prepared. I really want to do everything unbroken on the next Fran. Hopefully I'm ready and can get a low 3 min time.
