400 Lbs !!

One of my goals with the CFSB program was a higher deadlift. The benchmark I set was 400lbs, or 2x body weight (actually 394 is 2xbw, but I'll round up). Today I got it. I worked really hard on changing my form for more legs and vertical bar path. All of the reviews of the Starting Strength book and the video with Jason helped a ton. Now I need to work on those protocols to get my strength during cardio distress up.

Then, Randy. 75 snatches at 75lbs for time:
7:45. I was able to plug along pretty consistently with this one. Again, my limit was grip as I could only string together 6 without risking dropping the bar by the 50's. My low back also started to feel the strain, but this is likely due to my off form and deadlifts 5 minutes prior. I used a power/muscle snatch that Josh Everett used in the video they posted with the WoD, but my bar path was probably too far out from my body. Some video will really help my form I think. I got up to 115 for a 1rm last night on a full snatch. I can get the weight up fine, but I can't get under it with confidence and speed. Hopefully watching the train wreck on video will help.

BTW: I love having weights at home and the horse trailor mats let me drop the steel plates too.
