One of the major drawbacks to the home gym will be no rower. I really enjoy rowing and will miss it when we leave lifetime some day soon. Guess I'll just have to come up with the money to buy one or two of my own.
Today was run a 10K. I REALLY didn't want to run in this heat, so I did a 10K row. My last time was 40:46. I wanted sub 40 which means an average of <2:00 per 500m split. I'll spare the details for each of the 20 splits, but it went great. I did it in 38:53. I felt great and kept a solid rhythm throughout, even 'fixing' my stroke as I found a stronger rhythm at the 5K mark. My first 2K was 7:26, which means a sub 7:00 2K is very attainable for me, given I was pacing myself.
About the heat: the Fury site mentioned performances down about 10% with the heat. That is encouraging as I am still matching or setting PRs. Come Fall I may be a firebreather (or not).
