Today Tommy and his freind Gary came over for "Tabata Something Else" Tommy has been through the WOD before so he knew what to expect, however, this would be Gary's first CrossFit WOD. We started off going over standards and form for all 4exercises. Tommy went first to show Gary how it was performed and the intensity level. Both Tommy and Gary did a great job. Tommy's form on squats is getting better, just needs to work on his hip flexibility. Gary did 1/2 Tabata, in other words 4 rounds of each exercise instead of 8. Gary went strong through all exercises. The squats are what did him in. Towards the end his form started to deteriorate and I feel he was putting to much stress on his quads. He was tired and out of breath, however, he persevered and made it through the WOD. My hope is he has sipped the kool-aid and will return tomorrow afternoon for whatever is posted by coach.
Gary, you will always remember your first CrossFit WOD and what that experience was like, you can only improve your fitness level from here.

11-12-2008 5 rounds for time
25 inverted burpees
25 pushups
25 burpees
this took me 1hr 15min and 29secs
if I remember correctly it took me that long to recover before I left the gym.
