5x5 back squats
275, 285, 295, 305, 315
I used to get higher numbers on back squats, but I realized my depth was too shallow. Now I am working on full depth (butt to calves) and getting numbers back up. I was going to finish with a set of 20, but Peter suggested I do another set at 315 because my depth on rep #5 was a little shallow. I got 4, and had to bail on 5. I got stuck in the bottom, but 9 reps is pretty good. Then we did 2 attempts at a 500m row PR. My first was 1:31, but I think I could have gotten sub 1:30 if I had set the damper to 7 instead of 5. I wasn't getting enough bite on the pull and was having to keep my SPM too high. Second attempt was 1:36. The last 30 seconds was hamstring torture, but now I have a point of reference for the next time.
