Lovi'n every minute of it

Things are going well at the box. On nearly every WoD I feel like I get at least a little benefit (usually a lot) for doing it there vs. at home. Sometimes it is technical cues, sometimes a push of intensity, and sometimes just the motivation to get up and do it early.

On Monday we did 30 muscle ups for time. I have really struggled with muscle ups lately. Since I started to do well with them, I backed off and only did them during wods (no practice). I once got 6 straight in nasty girls and 30 mups for time in under 7 minutes. Lately, though, I have really struggled. My goal was to make it through. No more, no less. Just complete as RX. I did it in 14:38. This was more than 2x my PR, but I am not too upset about that. I set my watch for every 10 seconds and was able to get through 10 in 2 minutes (2 reps off pace) then I slowed a bit until I missed at 17. on the 6 minute version I didn't miss til 23 and only missed twice. This time, I missed about once for every rep I made. I wasn't getting near full extension, and my kip was weak, but I made it through. Only 4 other guys were able to do as Rx and I came in 4th out of all 5. I know I can do better next time, if I keep working on it. But for this day, Goal Achieved.

Today was an HQ rest day, so we made up the following WoD:
21-18-15-12-9-6 and 3 rep rounds of:
Power clean 95 pounds
Sit-ups (we did GHDs)
Back extensions
12:05
I paused on 2 different sets of GHD and paused in the rack position of one set of PCs, but everything else was unbroken. I was flying through the PC and ext, but the GHDs slowed me down by round 2 and 3. I kept moving, but my pace slowed a lot. I was pretty happy with my time, and I did feel better with the GHDs. I did a total of 84 reps on the GHD, which will get me more preparred for the 150 in the last to GHD wods.

On the subject of wives...
Aubri finished her On Ramp class and is now attending the beginner class at Fury. This is new for them and she is loving it. She needs to show proficiency in a couple of mesures before graduating to the next level (16 pullups, 100lb C&J, 80 lb snatch, 1 HSPU to floor, 13 rds of cindy and a sub 9 min mile). She doesn't have a kip yet, but she is close, and many of the other markers are within reach. She is drinking the Kool Aid and keeping in the Zone. She is already seeing results and excited about seeing more. Keep it up hon.
