A Good Rest Day

Today, I went in with a plan for work on snatch and the pullup ladder with butterfly kips only.

The snatches went well. I kept it relatively light, warming up with 75, then 95, then 115. Peter gave me some pointers on my form and i worked on keeping my torso more upright and trying to land with more active shoulders. I started to get into a groove, but a body weight snatch is VERY far off.

The pull up ladder went very well too. I did the butterfly and got the rhythm down. Occasionally I would get out of sync, but could regain it fast. I did straight, and unbroken through the round of 16, then started to lose my rhythm more and had to rely on a messed version of the butterfly and the standard kip. I saw so close to getting the last 2 on round 19, but next time I want to get 20+. I now think I will use the butterfly for all wods and see if I can really master it.

For those interested, check out the links on OPT's blog regarding the potentially harmful effects of fish oil. Now I have absolutely no idea if I should be taking the stuff or not.
