January Goals

Being that we are already over a week into December, and the holidays will delay things a bit, I am going to write some goals for the end of January. I'll make them a bit more lofty with the longer time frame.

Diet Goal: Try IF (Intermittent Fasting) for 2 full weeks to assess it's value and benefit for me

1: 21 handstands in less than 90 seconds (I want less than 60 eventually, but that will take me a while longer).
2: Tabata situp score of 14 for 8 rounds
3: Run a 5K (at fury) in under 21 minutes. (i think their course is a tad short, but only by about 120m)

Today's WoD was a 5K. I thought the Lumberjack would affect me more than it did for the run, but I can't blame it on that WoD. I just didn't have the legs for it today. I think I start out too fast and steadily slow down over the run. I need to learn to pace a bit better in the early stages. My time was 21:23, 17 seconds off my PR. I could also blame it on the 38 degrees, and running in the dark, in the mud, with a cheap flashlight, but that would be weaksauce. It really does come down to my pacing. I have never been able to 'turn it on' at the end of a run, but I should be able to hold a pace better than that. Next time I HAVE to break the 21 minute mark. I made great progress on this one, but haven't posted a new PR in 2 tries now. I have to get out of my funk and figure it out. Guess that means more running at night, in the cold, uphill, both ways.

I think IF will be my nutrition goal for January as well.
