Yesterday
max rep muscle up x4. I was unhappy with my first attempt at 5, so I tried to maintain it across sets. I got 5,5,5,4. I don't have the turn out at the bottom, but i need to work on it.
Then max effort 500m row and 1 set max pushups x5
1:33-20,1:43-25, 1:48-21, 1:50-22, 1:45-22. This was a bit frustrating at first, as I couldn't get good 'bite' in the flywheel, and I felt like I was spinning my wheels for the first 2 rounds. Then I got tired and faded. On the last round, I realized that I was forgetting my form and going for too many SPM. I slowed down my rhythm and got a better time by 5 seconds on round 5. I should have figured that out sooner, but I was still exhausted by the end, just not great times d/t inefficiency. The pushups were tough after, but I should have pushed harder. I was trying to get right into them with little metcon rest, but others got much higher numbers.
Today
Pressing snatch balance 5x3 @ 95 lbs
heaving snatch balance 5x3 @ 125
Snatch balance 3x3 @ 155 lbs
Lots of progress here, but still catching too high on the snatch balance and riding it down. I need to be faster under the bar.
Then 1 mile TT x3
5:54, 6:20, 6:38
I wanted all 3 sub 6, but with only 4 minutes rest, lots of rowing yesterday, and girl scout cookies last night, that was not in the cards for me today. My legs were exhausted halfway through the last run, and everything else was just a mental push. I fought to not walk, but I am still disappointed that I didn't go a little closer to 6 on rounds 2 and 3.
