...broken up by some mups and KB swings.
Today was Nate.
Complete as many rounds in twenty minutes as you can of:
2 Muscle-ups
4 Handstand Push-ups
8 2-Pood Kettlebell swings
I made it through 9 rounds, a new PR for me. I started with kick-up style HSPU, but couldn't find my balance point, so went with prone and knocked them out much faster by round 2 or 3. I got into a rhythm and think I could have gotten 10 rounds if I had gone prone to start with. Oh well.
The 2 pood swings were fine, not too tough. You can only make 70 pounds swing so fast safely, but it wasn't a challenge. The muscle ups weren't tough either, but I realized with the reflection in the dark window that my bottom is not full lockout, but I need to be happy with it when I am on the squat rack. Otherwise, it was just a matter of finding the balance of sufficient rest/preparedness and intensity with HSPU. I will work on them 2x/week and hopefully get better before the next time Diane comes up.
Tomorrow is a rest day, but that means a Hockey game for me.
