Lots of different posts and data on the blogs for crossfit talk about guys with shoulder and back pain that went away after working through the crossfit program. I figured I would try, with caution, to work through the overhead lifts and try to improve my range and strength. I am now questioning the wisdom of that idea. As I type, I have already taken 3 ibuprofen, and am wondering how soon I can take more. Hopefully my fever and achiness adds to the shoulder pain, but this feels frighteningly similar to the problems I had that led to an achromioplasty 3 years ago. I will try to go a little easy on the overhead stuff for a couple of days. I also don't want a hurt shoulder for a triatholon that involves upper extremity weight bearing on a bike and shoulder dependent swimming.
Needless to say, I did not try Nicole today. This was the first true rest day i have had since about Wednesday of last week, so it's not a bad thing. We'll see what pops up on tomorrow's WoD.
