In the "Zone"

So I took a week off for the hoiday as I was out of town (I know poor excuse), however, I am still very addicted to Crossfit. I did not Crossfit today as my wife had her first ultrasound as we are pregnant with our third child (very exciting) So, needless to say I need to get back into the swing of things and to kick things off I am starting "The Zone Diet" which basically puts your protein, carbs and fat into blocks with specific grams of each macronutrient and depending on your goals you are supposed to eat so many blocks at each meal and then so many at two snack times. It does involve weighing your food which I personally do not mind. I am very excited to try this in conjunction with the Crossfit training to see my results. There are alot of articles in the journal section of the the Crossfit website(thanks Josh)and with independent research on the diet that tells of great improvement in strength and loss of body fat. I am very eager, I weighed all of my food today with dinner being the hardest as Melissa usually has a meal planned which makes weighing the specific food in the meal difficult. I am in the process of making my own set of rings as well as medicine ball. I think tomorrow I will do deadlifts and possible shoulder press (one in the morning and one in the evening)
