Definite progress

Today was 30 mups for time. Last time was 14:39 from a high hang at a basketball hoop. Today was at my 8-foot ceiling in the garage (read: harder without hip drive in kip). I was still able to get it in 6:22, a 56% improvement!! I am thrilled with this result. I had 2 watches: one to track my running time and one to beep every 11 seconds. Man that 11 seconds goes by fast. If I stuck to the 11 sec, I would have finished in 5:30. I was very close to staying on pace. I think i can do every 9 seconds next time.

I did HPC yesterday. I probably shouldn't have given the shape of my torn blister, but I felt the need to do something. I got a heavy 230. I actually used every pound of weight I have, including some 5lb ankle weights I strapped to the ends of the bar. I tried a clean at that weight, but without the warm up for the deep catch, I didn't stand much of a chance. Gotta love bumpers though.
