After much deliberation and observing my movement, we realized that my lack of full elbow extension is what limits my ability to get solid lockout in the landing. This means I have to rely on too much shoulder strength and I can't get rigid in the bottom. I have always had limited elbow range but years of bicep curls didn't help. I really want to get my C+J higher and my overall jerk stronger. I think I may start to go with the slpit jerk more, in an attempt to master that. It allows me to get lower, faster, and compensate for the looseness. That will only hurt me on those rare occasions there is a high weight and high rep scheme for jerk. HQ doesn't do that much, so it shouldn't be too bad. Working my OHS should help me with overhead strength too.
