Change in Plans
Peter, the one in charge of planning WoDs and such at Fury, has been toying with changing planning at Fury. He settled on a system that follows the main site starting back in September. We will have set Wod and rest days (M,T,W,F and Sat are Wod and Th and Sun are rest days) but wod days will follow the main site's sequence starting in September. He will add in a lot of supplemental stuff for warm-ups, strength training and finishers for each day, but knowing what is coming means he can plan ahead. They will plan out 3 weeks and dedicate each 3 weeks series to 1 or 2 movements that we all need work on. The first set starts January 4th and focuses on HSPU. Rest days will be for make-ups or oly lifts and Saturdays will be epic WoDs. Things like the 2009 Games' Wods or regional wods, maybe hero wods. I saw his plan and lots of days have 2 wods in the same hour session and heavy lifts to boot. I like this plan because it relies on the general preparedness of the main site as well as hitting some of the gaps we have noticed (i.e. OHS, snatches, etc.). This is in an attempt to prepare us for the games, but also for making us all a bit more legit. I am excited to see where this takes me, and having saturdays off should help me stay on pace with everyone else. If you want, I can get the 3 week cycle in advance and post it here. Who knows, maybe this is enough motivation to get someone else to join fury (cough-jason-cough).
