JT

This is a hero wod that I have feared and avoided. It targets my biggest goat and makes it even harder.

The posted WoD was practice with inverted lower to hang and ring pushups. We practiced some ring work, including getting full extension on mups, with ring pushups interspersed. Then, we did JT.

21-15-9
hand stand pushups
ring dips
pushups
15:31 (or close, I can't remember exactly as I type this)

The first round of HSPU went great. 12 unbroken, then 3x3 in 1:23 (one january goal met!!!!). I paced a bit on the dips and pushups with my shoulder hurting a bit. The round of 15 and 9 hspu were, as expected, a battle of perseverance. In short order they were singles with feet coming off the wall (not games standard) but they all counted. The dips and pushups weren't tough, just paced. This is a big moral victory for me, as I have been very far from Rx on this one until now. I want to get faster at the rounds of 15 and 9, but this was awesome.

We finished with a 1K row and I got it in 3:22, I should have been a touch faster, but I went out too hot again and didn't pace well enough. Or was it that I didn't push hard enough at the end? Either way, I won't be on the leader board for that one. My lats are very sore from 188 pullups yesterday on the pullup ladder (18+17) and lever work today. The rest days are much needed.

The butterfly sure helps your cycle times, I did not start to feel it that much until about the 14-15th round. I also lost the rythmn the more fatigued I became. Awesome job!!
