Upper Body Fatigue

It has been a rough cycle for my body, but specifically my upper body.

Monday - under the weather, but ran 3.6 miles to gym then snatch work. The run was slow, but that has a lot to do with being a bit feverish and achy still. On the snatch, I struggled with the second pull, so I stayed at 145 for reps then worked on snatch balance at 105lbs for 4 sets of 5 reps. I get a high second pull, but lose shoulder stability/awareness when getting under the bar. gotta work on that.

Tuesday - Heavy Thrusters for 10 reps for a warm up. I got up to 135 when I ran out of time. I cold have done 145 and maybe 155, but the slow buildup to 135 still got in a good tax and more ready for fran next time. Then 3 repeats of row 1k. 3:28,3:36, 3:31. We rested about 4 minutes (enough time for girls to complete their row). that was awful but a good tax.

Wednesday - Felt the need to work on pullups and bench, so I did Lynne with Aubri. I know now for sure that the bars at Lifetime were too light. My bench numbers were light by 1-2 reps/set but my pullups were a ton better. 15/30,10/24,8/19,5/15,5/13 = 144 total. My bench should have been higher, but it was a tough workout. I fought to stay on the bar for each extra pullup too.

Thurday - Angie. DAMN! more pullups and chest. Instead of being disappointed with a poor attempt at a PR, I did what I am calling Strong Angie:
100 strict pullups
100 ring dips
100 GHDs
100 pistols (50 each leg)
31:53
I actually only did 75 pullups because i realized that 25 more would take a looong time and I didn't want to get bogged down. I went pretty quick through the dips and pitols, but the GHDs sucked big time. It was a good strength workout, leaving my upperbody feeling wasted.

Peter will only have one class tomorrow, with a special WoD. He did Murph last year, so it will be something major. I'm not sure if I will do whatever posts in the garage, or go in and give it a try. May have to wait and see how my body does.
