Jason and I did Kalsu on Friday. I scaled it to 117 at Jason's suggestion (thanks jason) That was plenty of weight. I haven't scaled a WoD on a while, but this was needed.
100 thrusters @ 117
Start every minute with 5 burpees.
24:45
I started with 10 reps in minute one, then 8 in minute two. I was quickly taking 20-30 seconds for 5 burpees and only getting 4-3 reps in per minute. That is the slowest way to count to 100. I can't imagine doing 135 lbs, but I want to try next time.
We went to the Kids Cert friday afternoon and I planned to have a rest weekend. Nope. We did a group WoD with AMRAP of an 800m run with stops for 10x squats, 10x 45 lb thrusters, 10x burpees and 5x pullups. It was only 45 pounds, but that was 50 more thrusters and burpees. Then the challenge WoD on Sunday was more thrusters.
Conner's race was a race between Conner Martin, Todd W. (from HQ) and me. Which one of these 3 does not belong?
10 minute AMRAP
3 thrusters @ 160 lbs
3 muscle ups
20 double unders
I did 5 and 1/3 rounds and my shoulders were wasted. It was very cool to do a wod with those 2 guys, and I was just happy not to look foolish.
The Fury wod for today was more thrusters. I don't think so. Rest Day!
